Great Patio, Happy Customers

The staff at Big Bend Landscaping loves it when previous customers call us up and ask us to do more work for them. It means they trust us to do the same quality job we did the first time. And that’s better than a pat on the back (though those are nice, too).

Recently, a customer we installed a drainage system for a few years ago contacted us and explained that they wanted to add a paver patio to their outdoor space. Could we fit them in?

You bet we could!

The Vision

We visited with the customer at their home and listened carefully when they explained what they had in mind. This family made it clear that they loved the outdoors. They envisioned a shady outdoor living space that would blend in with their already beautiful backyard. Specifically, they wanted a patio where they could place a table and chairs for entertaining and family dinners. They also wanted to incorporate a nearby tree for shade and aesthetics. Creative landscaping is one of Big Bend Landscaping’s specialties, so these requests were no problem at all.

The Planning

The Big Bend staff scoped out the area the customers wanted to use. We drew up plans and presented them with a sketch to make sure we were all on the same page. We also provided them with a list of materials such as pavers to choose from.

Big Bend Landscaping doesn’t settle for anything less than the best materials, and our customers shouldn’t either. We use only the highest quality products, including Belgard, BP, Pavestone, Keystone, Versa-Lok and Anchor.

Big Bend Landscaping St Louis patio project

The Project

The customers loved our suggestions and wisely chose BP Bella Estate pavers for the patio area, with a 6″x 9″ Limestone Sailor Course as the border.

BP Bella Estate pavers are relatively new to the market and have become quite popular with customers. They are large, interlocking, smooth faced pavers. Because of their size, there are fewer lines. So they look natural, and blend into the landscape. When we use a sailor course border, we set the limestone pavers end-to-end—to create a clean, straight edge. The limestone course frames the patio space and accentuates the beauty of the natural looking Bella Estate pavers. For this project, we also added a few layers of brick on one end to produce a level surface and support the pavers. And finally, we created a finished look by adding smaller pavers around the tree, making sure we left enough room for growth.

The End Result

The family is just delighted with their new paver patio. They now have a gorgeous 500’ sq foot area just outside their own backdoor where they can sit in the shade of their beautiful tree, enjoy family dinners, and watch their children while they play.

We guaranty our work and if there any unforeseen issues, we will stand behind it. But we fully expect this family to enjoy their patio for years to come.
