Solving Drainage Issues with a Dry Creek Bed

Water management is a crucial part of maintaining any property, and for this project, our primary goal was to safely defer water away from our customer’s home. To achieve this, we designed and installed a highly functional dry creek bed alongside the house. As you can see, this feature creates a dedicated channel for runoff while adding a beautiful, rugged texture to the yard. It is a perfect example of how landscape solutions can be both practical and visually appealing.

Sprucing Up the Space with Chocolate Brown Mulch

A smart drainage solution should blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment. To spruce up the landscape between the home and the property line, we laid down a fresh, thick layer of chocolate brown mulch. The rich, dark tones of the mulch provide a striking visual contrast against the lighter river rocks of the dry creek bed and the classic brick exterior of the house, instantly elevating the entire area.

Leading the Way with Natural Stone Steppers

To complete the space and ensure the side yard remains accessible and functional, we installed a beautiful pathway using natural stone steppers. These stones guide you easily through the gate and across the newly mulched area. The organic shapes of the stone tie the entire project together, resulting in a cohesive, welcoming landscape that protects the home while looking fantastic.
